West Newton Cinema: Behind the Screen: “Teenage Wasteland”, Jan. 28

As part of their Behind the Screen series, the West Newton Cinema (1296 Washington St, West Newton) will present a screening of Teenage Wasteland on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:30PM. The film will be followed by a discussion with teacher and star of the documentary, Fred Isseks.

Teenage Wasteland is a coming-of-age story based on exclusive access to hundreds of hours of candid, humorous and nostalgic video outtakes, and the cooperation of Fred Isseks and his intrepid students as they reckon — thirty years later — with a defining event in their lives and a remarkable story
of civic courage.
