As part of its Spring Guided Walk Series, Newton Conservators is hosting a Mother’s Day birding walk in Nahanton Park (Oak Hill) on Sunday, May 10, from 8AM to 10:30AM. Enter the park at Nahanton Street and park in the lot at the canoe/kayak rental location. A steady rain will cancel the walk.
With its mix of woodlands, wetlands, and meadows along the Charles River, Nahanton Park is one of the best birding spots in Newton. Follow along with birding guides Alison Leary and Haynes Miller as they search for migrants and resident species. Bring binoculars if you have them and wear sturdy shoes.
For questions concerning the walk, contact Alison Leary at 617-821-5619 or Haynes Miller at 617-413-2419.
Registration is required and limited to 30 people.
