Concert by the Newton Senior Chamber Ensemble on Wednesday, May 6, 2:30-3:30PM at the Cooper Center (345 Walnut Street, Newtonville).
The chamber ensemble will present:

— Symphony No. 16 Finale, by Frank Joseph Haydn
— Enigma Variations, by Nimrod Edward Elgar
— The Planets, Jupiter, by Gustav Holst
Founded by Gwendoline Thornblade in 2003, NSCE began as a small group of parents from the
Williams School in Auburndale, and has expanded over the years to close to 30 players. They
have given many performances in various settings since then, including at the Scandinavian
Living Center, Lasell Village, and the former Newton Senior Center, where they spent many
happy hours rehearsing.
