The Charles River Regional Chamber will soon serve a fifth community, in addition to Needham, Newton, Watertown, and Wellesley. The Brookline Chamber of Commerce will cease operation on April 1, and its members and programs will join the CRRC.
Bricks & Minifigs, an authorized LEGO reseller, has a new franchise, owned by longtime Newton residents and located at 275 Centre Street in Newton Corner. Its motto — Rebuild, Reuse, Reimagine — inspires the buying, selling, and trading of bricks, minifigs, and all things LEGO so that “No LEGO® should ever find its way to a landfill.”
Centre Street Food Pantry recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. Starting in a room downstairs at Trinity Church serving about 10 families a week, the nonprofit has grown to serve 325 families a week (over 1,000 households monthly) across six communities: Newton, Waltham, Brookline, Needham, Watertown, and Wellesley. It is now seeking to expand to a second location, in Waltham.
