Tanglewood Marionettes presents Cinderella on Saturday, April 25 at 11AM at the Newton City Hall War Memorial Auditorium (1000 Commonwealth Ave, Newton Centre).
Set in the 18th century and featuring a dozen lavishly costumed 30” marionettes, this production of Cinderella is a showpiece. The story unfolds as the pages of a giant book open to reveal each beautifully painted setting—the village square, the rustic kitchen, the magnificent ballroom, plus many more. All your favorite characters are here, from gentle Cinderella to the bumptious stepsisters and the charming Prince, and each marionette is manipulated with precision and grace by these talented puppeteers.
Advance ticket purchase is recommended and is available until 12pm on April 24. Advance tickets are $8; tickets purchased at the door are $10 while supplies last. Tickets are required for each person over the age of 12 months old. Children younger than 12 months may sit on lap of caregiver.
A limited number of tickets are available through the Newton Arts Pass program for families in need of financial assistance. Contact [email protected] for details.
