Music Mondays at The Scandinavian Cultural Center (206 Waltham Street, West Newton) will host Jazz Tapestry on Monday, April 13 from 2PM-3PM.
(The Aryaloka String Quartet, originally scheduled, is not available due to illness.)
Jazz Tapestry is a trio featuring Billy Novick, clarinet /vocal, Tomoko Iwamoto, violin and Greg Toro, double bass. Both traditional and eclectic, this violin, clarinet and bass jazz trio takes their unique sound and weaves you through the Great American Songbook.
Billy Novick is an internationally recognized jazz musician who has appeared in hundreds of well-known recordings and films. Tomoko Iwamoto is a classically trained “jazzy violinist” and the centerpiece of numerous Boston-area ensembles. Boston native and Berklee-trained bassist Greg Toro the anchor of this terrific trio.
