School Committee Meetings – Week of 5/10/2026

Negotiations Subcommittee of the Newton School Committee will meet in Executive Session on Monday, May 11 at 3PM to discuss impact bargaining with the Newton Teachers Association, all units (see Agenda).

School Committee will meet in person (Education Center, Room 210) and virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, May 11. There will be a Public Hearing on FY27 School Choice Participation at 6PM, followed by the regular meeting at 6:30PM. The agenda includes:

FA Day Middle School Council will meet virtually (Google Meet link) on Tuesday, May 12 at 3:15PM. The agenda includes:

  • Connection
  • Approval of Meeting Minutes
  • Review of School Focus Survey and Next Steps
  • State of the School Data and Intersection of School Improvement Plan

Peirce Elementary School Council will meet in person (170 Temple Street, Principal’s Office) on Wednesday, May 13 at 11AM. The agenda includes:

  • Welcome
  • Discuss School Improvement Goal for Paw City Project and plan for specific roles in support of this goal
  • Feedback and Discussion
  • Discuss next Steps/Agenda
