The Hyde Community Center presents Shakespeare in the Playground—The World’s a Stage Players present “Romeo and Juliet” on the Hyde Bandstand at Hyde Community Center (90 Lincoln St, Newton Highlands) on Thursday, July 30 from 7PM – 9PM.
This summer, The World’s a Stage Players (The Concord Players’ resident Shakespeare troupe) present Romeo and Juliet. The play, written around 1594–96, follows two young “star-crossed lovers” from feuding families, the Montagues and Capulets, in Verona, Italy. Their forbidden love leads to their deaths, ultimately ending their families’ ancient grudge.
