Cooper Center: AI (Artificial Intelligence) Exploration Workshop, May 14

Led by Girls in AI of Newton North High School, this beginner-friendly workshop at the Cooper Center (345 Walnut Street, Newtonville) on Thursday, May 14 from 6-7PM will introduce older adults to the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) in a fun and accessible way.

Participants will learn what AI is, how it works, and where it’s hiding in everyday life—from voice assistants and online recommendations to healthcare and transportation. The session will also cover media literacy and how to spot AI-generated content. The workshop includes engaging visuals, real-world examples, and Q&A time. The session will help participants to feel confident and informed about the rapidly changing digital world.
