Newton Neighbors hosts its School Supply Drive, accepting donations through Saturday, August 15 at drop-off locations throughout Newton, including The Village Bank, Auburndale Community Library, The Street Chestnut Hill, and Fulfilled Goods.
This drive, held in coordination with Newton Public School social workers and others, helps ensure that all kids can start the school year off with essential school supplies.
Last year, Newton Neighbors was able to provide backpacks and other supplies to more than 150 students. This year – with the community’s help – organizers hope to do even more.
Donations requested:
- Backpacks (priority: middle and high-school backpacks) and lunchboxes
- Water bottles
- Graphing calculators (preferably TI84-CE)
- $25 Amazon, Visa, or Mastercard gift cards for school supplies and clothing
Items can be purchased from Newton Neighbors’ Amazon wishlist and delivered directly to the organization. Cash donations are also welcome, allowing organizers to purchase the most-needed items. Donations can be made at newtonneighbors.org/donate.
