Negotiation Subcommittee will meet in Executive Session virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, July 20 at 1PM to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with the Newton Teachers Association (NTA) Units A-E.
School Committee will meet in Executive Session in person (Education Center, Room 304) on Monday, July 20 at 5PM to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with the Newton Teachers Association (NTA) Units A-E and NESA, and litigation strategy. The Committee will not return to open session.
School Committee will meet in a special meeting (retreat) in person (Education Center, Room 315) on Monday, July 20 at 6PM. The agenda includes:
- Welcome, dinner, and setting the stage
- Icebreaker and team-building
- How we work together: review and renewal of School Committee norms
- From strategic plan to student experience: how we know whether NPS is thriving
- Priorities for 26-27 school year and operational updates
- Discuss and vote to authorize the City of Newton’s installation of air conditioning units and infrastructure in classrooms in 10 buildings
