Newton has much to offer its residents and neighbors: parks, world class events, theaters, concerts, green spaces, shops, restaurants, and cafes, to name a few.
We are asking various Newtonians to share with Fig City News some of what they enjoy most about Newton. First up: We asked our State Senator, Majority Leader Cynthia Creem, to share some of her favorite things. This was her response (links added):
- Walking along the Charles River path with my husband.
- Enjoying a lime rickey at Cabot’s.
- Stopping by Derby Farm for flowers. Their lovely arrangements always brighten my day.
- Cheering on Boston Marathon runners at Heartbreak Hill never fails to leave me feeling inspired.
- Sitting outside SALT Patisserie with a cup of hot tea and a wonderful scone is always a relaxing way to spend part of the weekend.
