Board and Commission Meetings – Week of 5/31/2026

Planning & Development Board will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, June 1 at 6:30PM. The agenda includes (see Meeting Packet):

  • Request to Review a Proposed Amendment to a Subdivision Plan approved on December 7, 2023 at 132 Homer Street (addressing Lots 2 & 3, i.e. 60 & 61 Chapin Road). The Chair will recommend that the Board hold deliberation on the matter until the next Planning Board meeting due to documents currently under review. See Memo.
  • Planning and Development Board Discussion of: Ordinance change in Chapter 30 to allow raised beds in the front and rear setback under certain conditions
  • Staff Updates
  • Upcoming Meetings

Parks & Recreation Signage and Naming Committee will meet in person (City Hall, Room 204) on Tuesday, June 2 at 1PM. The agenda includes:

  • Review current Zoning Ordinance sections regarding “Signs in Open Space/Recreation and Public Use Districts”
  • Prepare for Law Department meeting, date TBD

Newton Highlands Neighborhood Area Council will meet in person (Brigham House, 20 Hartford Street, Newton Highlands) and virtually (Zoom link) on Thursday, June 4 at 7PM. The agenda includes:
