Newton Conservators invites you to Help ID Newton’s Flora & Fauna in Kennard Park Bioblitz on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Kennard Park (246 Dudley Rd, Newton Upper Falls).
Zach Shein, an experienced botanist and habitat restoration professional, will help participants identify the many species of plants and animals inhabiting this diverse ecological park. Zach will discuss identified plants and then post the group’s observations to the iNaturalist app. Participants do not need to be experts. Families are welcome.
Download the free iNaturalist app to your phone beforehand from the Apple App Store for iOS or the Google Play Store for Android. Participants should wear long pants and sturdy shoes. A steady rain will cancel the Bioblitz.
Participants should meet at the entrance to Kennard Park on 246 Dudley Rd.
