- Requesting authorization to transfer $300,000 from multiple accounts to Executive Office, Full Time Salaries to fund two new critical management positions, Chief of Community Services and Chief of Staff, as well as temporary funding for a period of overlap for a new Chief Financial Officer
Zoning & Planning Committee will meet in person (City Hall, Room 211) and virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, January 12 at 7PM. The agenda includes:
- Discussion concerning Zoning and Planning Committee work plan for the 2026-2027 term. Chair’s Note: As the Committee has new members, part of the discussion of this item will be some background on how the Committee does its work on zoning items, as they occur within a statutory framework.
- Request for ordinance amendments to change oversight of the Economic Development Commission and for discussion on transition of the City’s economic development functions and staff to the Mayor’s Office
Traffic Council will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Thursday, January 15 at 7PM. The agenda includes:
- Requests for accessible parking spaces:
- 925 Watertown Street
- 10 Langley Road
- 839 Washington Street
- Request to extend the current parking prohibition (except Sundays and Holidays) on the north side of Suffolk Road from its current terminus, further westerly, to a point 10 feet west of the fire hydrant, in front of 47 Suffolk Road
- Request to extend the two-hour parking limit, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the north side of Homer Street, from where it currently ends at Grafton Street, further west around the curve to end at Cedar Street
- Request to post a parking restriction on the south side of Dedham Street, to the east of Andrew Street, to improve sightlines
- Request a stop sign at the “T” intersection of Leighton Road and Williston Road
