The Carroll Center for the Blind‘s 14th Annual Walk for Independence will be held on Saturday, May 30th, from 9AM – 12PM at the Mount Ida Campus of UMass Amherst (100 Carlson Avenue, Newton).
This free event invites participants to complete a 1 to 3-mile walk around the campus, followed by a celebration with free BBQ, popcorn, accessible activities, assistive technology demonstrations, and more!
The Walk for Independence supports the Carroll Center’s mission of empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and lead fulfilling lives. As the nation’s premier vision rehabilitation center, The Carroll Center for the Blind serves individuals of all ages and stages of vision loss, providing essential resources and support to those in need.
