Newton Conservators: Hammond Woods Guided Walk, May 3

As part of its Spring Guided Walk Series, Newton Conservators is hosting a guided walk in Hammond Woods led by Richard Primack, professor of plant ecology at Boston University, on Sunday, May 3 from 2PM to 3:30PM. Registration is required and limited to 30 people.

Richard will discuss the conservation area’s various wildflowers, unusual trees, unique geological features, and evidence of past land use.

Sturdy shoes are recommended. Terrain is relatively flat but can be muddy. Meet at the kiosk at the entrance to Hammond Woods next to Hammond Pond near the Street at Chestnut Hill shops. A steady rain will cancel the walk.

For questions concerning the walk, contact Richard Primack at [email protected].
