Held
- Discussion and ordinance change to the City’s Overnight Parking Ban (7-0) the committee heard from several community members representing both the former YES and NO ballot committees. Speakers addressed hardships posed by the ban for residents without driveways, intergenerational households, people with disabilities, and those with overnight health aides, while others emphasized the need for emergency vehicle access and the importance of a comprehensive plan before any changes. Community members broadly agreed on the need for a nuanced approach, including possible hardship waivers, geographic exceptions, and improvements for snow emergencies. The committee discussed gathering data on road widths, municipal lot utilization, and permit usage, and indicated it would form a small working group to develop goals and potential solutions.
