Drudys Ledbetter will speak in Cabot Park Village’s Black History Lecture Series on Thursday, June 23at 3PM in the Community Room of Cabot Park Village (280 Newtonville Avenue, Newtonville). Her topic will be What We Cannot See : Health Equity, Human Dignity, and the Hidden Costs of Invisibility in Healthcare.
Drudys Ledbetter, BSN, RN is a nurse leader, healthcare strategist, author, and advocate working at the intersection of healthcare systems, patient safety, and cannabis healthcare integration.
She is the Founder of MAC Vernet Consulting and Project Destigmatize HealTHCare, a nonprofit organization focused on reducing stigma in healthcare through education, research, and policy advocacy. With experience spanning critical care, healthcare operations, clinical technology, long-term care leadership, and cannabis healthcare, she is known for advancing conversations around healthcare visibility, documentation, and patient-centered care.
Drudys is the author of Healthcare Cannot Manage What It Cannot See and a contributing author to Comprehensive Approaches to Cannabis Nursing, an academic text exploring the evolving role of nurses in cannabis-related patient care and healthcare delivery.
A sought-after speaker and educator, she works with healthcare organizations, clinicians, policymakers, and community leaders to build systems that are more informed, equitable, and responsive to patient needs. Her work centers on a simple principle: if healthcare cannot see it, it cannot measure it, manage it, or improve it.
She is also a Boston Marathon runner supporting the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, an organization that provides healing, advocacy, and support for families impacted by homicide.
