First Unitarian Universalist Society of Newton: Have the Learned Professions Succumbed to Capitalism?, August 16

The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Newton presents Have the Learned Professions Succumbed to Capitalism? on Sunday, August 16 at 10:15 AM in the Parish Hall (1326 Washington St, West Newton). The program is also available via Zoom.

Once, “the learned professions”—clergy, lawyers, physicians, and educators—were viewed as vital counterweights to American capitalism. FUUSN member and author Bruce Kimball will examine whether market forces have diminished their influence, and invite us to reflect on our own work and spiritual lives. FUUSN welcomes people of all faiths and backgrounds. Childcare for children up to the age of 4 will be available.
