City Council is not scheduled to meet this week.
Traffic Council will meet in person (City Hall, Room 205) and virtually (Zoom link) on Wednesday, July 1 at 9:30AM. The agenda includes the following items scheduled for discussion:
- Special Speed Regulations for Cherry Street, Lake Avenue, North Street, Tremont Street, Otis Street, Reservoir Avenue, Webster Street, Tyler Terrace, Paul Street, Mill Street, Gordon Road, Elliott Street, Derby Street, Auburn Street, Valentine Street, Parker Street, Crafts Street, Lexington Street, Grove Street, Brookline Street, Walnut Street, Dedham Street, Watertown Street, and Washington Street
- Long-term trial for temporary changes to parking and traffic regulations on streets near the Newtonville MBTA Commuter Rail station to facilitate reconstruction of the station
The Chair expects to entertain motions for No Action Necessary on the following items, which were previously held to ask MassDOT to remove regulatory speed limits:
- Watertown Street (35 MPH)
- Mill Street (30 MPH)
- Washington Street between Hunnewell Avenue and the Boston City Line (35 MPH)
- Tremont Street between Hibbard Road and Waverley Avenue (35 MPH)
- Cherry Street (30 MPH)
- Crafts Street (30 MPH)
