City of Newton: Newton Crossing Information Session, July 15

The City of Newton will hold a virtual Newton Crossing Information Session about a new affordable housing lottery on Wednesday, July 15 at 6PM via Zoom. The application deadline is August 11 at 2PM. Applications can be completed online through SEB Housing’s lottery application form.

Newton Crossing is a new 292-unit rental apartment community located at 1155, 1165, and 1175 Washington Street, West Newton. Through a lottery process, a total of 73 units will be made available to income-qualified households. Of the 73 units:

  • 63 units will be available for households earning no more than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
  • 10 units will be available for households earning no more than 50% of the AMI

The development is conveniently located near restaurants, shops, green spaces, the West Newton Commuter Rail station, buses, and easy access to the Mass Pike (I-90). Apartments are expected to be available beginning this September.
