The City of Newton is hosting an in-person “Welcome to Newton” event on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the City Hall War Memorial from 5:30PM-7PM. Everyone who is new to the city, or still feels new to Newton, is invited. Kids are welcome! It’s a chance to meet neighbors, learn about city services, and start making connections.
The City has launched Welcome to Newton to help people new to our city find their bearings and discover everything Newton has to offer. A new Welcome to Newton Guide has just gone live on the City’s website to put helpful information in one convenient place—from a high-level navigation of City services to Newton Public Schools enrollment information, to how to start a business, there’s all kinds of information to help people get a quick start in Newton.
Whether you’re unpacking boxes in your first Newton home, condo, or apartment, or you’ve been here for a while and are still finding your way, the City of Newton wants to make it easier to feel connected and part of your community.
