The forecasted almost-gale-force winds stayed away. The sun came out periodically. And the crowds again gathered in Newton Centre Green & Parking Lot for a terrific Newton Harvest Fair. Fig City News offered Fig Newton cookies to our booth visitors — and most importantly, in bulk to the Newton Neighbors “Drive for Five” Food Drive. Of their five requested items, we had no beans/rice, soaps, pasta, or cooking oil, but we did have individually wrapped snacks!
