Newton Halloween Window Painting, Oct. 28

Newton Parks, Recreation & Cultural Development is again hosting Halloween Window Painting for Newton students in Grades 3-8. It will take place on October 28, 10AM at various participating merchants’ windows in Auburndale, Newton Centre, Newton Highlands, Newtonville, Nonantum, and West Newton. Newton Harvest Fair, 2023

The forecasted almost-gale-force winds stayed away. The sun came out periodically. And the crowds again gathered in Newton Centre Green & Parking Lot for a terrific Newton Harvest Fair. Fig City News offered Fig Newton cookies to our booth visitors — and most importantly, in bulk to the Newton Neighbors “Drive for Five” Food Drive. Of their five requested items, we had no beans/rice, soaps, pasta, or cooking oil, but we did have individually wrapped snacks!

Update – 10/5/2023

We updated Public Safety and Transportation votes 7-0 to deny repeal of overnight parking ban to include the results of the October 4 meeting of the Public Safety and Transportation committee.
