Cooper Center: Food Safety 101, Jun. 2

Join Newton Health & Human Services at the Cooper Center (345 Walnut Street, Newtonville) on Tuesday, June 2 from 10:30 to 11:30AM for an engaging program that highlights simple, practical steps for safely preparing, cooking, and storing food to protect yourself and your loved ones from preventable foodborne illnesses. Led by Kelly Borg, Public Health Nurse from the Newton Health& Human Services.

Stay safe and confident in your kitchen! In Massachusetts alone, public health data shows more than 8,000 reported cases of foodborne illness each year, with many more likely going unreported. Adults over the age of 65 are at increased risk of serious illness or hospitalization from these infections.
