The Cooper Center (345 Walnut Street, Newtonville) will host a screening and discussion of In the Whale — a feature-length documentary film directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning Boston Globe reporter David Abel — on Wednesday, June 3, from 1:30 to 4:00 PM.
The film chronicles the extraordinary story of Michael Packard, a commercial lobster diver who survived being swallowed by a humpback whale off the coast of Cape Cod.
