The 52nd Annual Theodore D. Mann Newton Mayor’s Community Breakfast with the theme Newton 250: Reimagining Community, Together will be held Wednesday, May 27 at 7:30AM at The University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Charles River Campus (100 Carlson Avenue, Oak Hill), Shaw Hall Courtyard. Doors Open at 7AM.
Full program and event details will be shared with event registrants closer to the event. Registration is required. Tickets are $50 per person, $400 to reserve a table of 8. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Program highlights will include remarks from Newton Mayor Marc Laredo and Keynote Speaker Keith Lockhart, longtime conductor with the Boston Pops. Reflections will be led by members of the Newton Interfaith Leadership Association. The program will also include music by a Suzuki School of Newton quartet and the All-City Troubadours. The Rotary Club of Newton will award its annual Anthony J. Bibbo student scholarships, and community service awards will be presented by Mayor Laredo.
The Mayor’s Community Breakfast is being hosted by The Harmony Foundation, in association with its partners: The Mayor’s Office, Newton Public Schools, Newton Free Library, Newton SPARK, The Newton Interfaith Clergy Association, The Rotary Club of Newton, F.O.R.J. Newton, and Newton Community Education.
